Staff Development Trainer (Office-Based) - IQVIA Biotech

BASIC FUNCTION:

Develops and conducts a staff professional development programs for employees across all locations. Develops and conducts motivational and team building programs for project teams, clients and departments within IQVIA Biotech.  Provides 1:1 mentoring to IQVIA Biotech employees in conjunction with the employee’s manager.  This position will also lead and conduct IQVIA’s new employee onboarding program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts staff development classes and programs for internal customers, both face to face and remote, based on on-going needs assessments, including but not limited to:
    • Communication Skills
    • Leadership Skills
    • Accountability
    • Management Skills
  • Conducts Leadership Development Series 1.0 and 2.0
  • Conducts ad hoc staff development classes as requested by functional area or project team
  • Champions and models IQVIA’s culture anchors (Employee Engagement, Collaboration, Celebration, Customer Service, Communication, and Continuous Improvement)
  • Develop and maintain the training materials that support the staff development training programs
  • Provides 1:1 mentoring to IQVIA Biotech employees in conjunction with the employee’s manager 
  • Conducts face-to-face and remote onboarding training programs for new employees
  • Maintains internal and external training records for IQVIA employees
  • Interfaces with Department Managers across all locations to ensure company, project, and personnel goals are met effectively and efficiently
  • Maintains working knowledge functional area departments (Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Study Start up, Safety, Project Management and Clinical Monitoring)
  • Performs other duties and initiatives as assigned by manager                   

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective staff development-based training programs.
  • Ability to form strong intra-departmental relationships.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Ability to manage a classroom environment regardless of size and remote and face to face participants.
  • Initiative, independent judgment, and discretion.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent ability to coordinate group activities.
  • Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ADA CRITERIA:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Very limited physical effort required to perform normal job duties.

MINIMUM RECRUITING STANDARDS:

  • BS/BA degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience in conducting personal/career development training programs.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a training capacity. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of clinical research, with a global understanding of the working processes of clinical sites and clinical research organizations is preferred including:
    • Pertinent regulations such as GCP, ICH and FDA
    • Knowledge of 21 CFR 11
