Job Description:

Seeking a hands-on leader, experienced in consulting with business leaders on learning needs and developing appropriate, actionable plans. May direct the operations and resources of a team, or multiple teams, of learning professional(s).

This role can be held in our North Carolina offices (Wilmington or Raleigh), or remote on the East Coast US.

Responsibilities include: Provides subject matter direction and project leadership and oversight, andmanages the development and deployment of learning solutions that achievebusiness needs and objectives. Directs team, staff and work streams by overseeing work assignments, andresource planning and accountability. Executes operational leadership and empowerment to attain a high standard ofperformance and delivery for managers, team(s) and all participants. Directs the delivery of learning solutions in a collaborative cross functional globalenvironment. Acts as a liaison between the team and business leadership. Provides progressiveupdates and aligns the team with the overall business objectives of thedepartment and company. Contributes to the development and implementation of department strategy andoperations.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience in learning that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10 years).

5 years of management responsibility

Proven leadership skills and large corporate / public agencies experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership abilities and skills to include leading organizational change and project management Effective organizational and analytical skills to routinely achieve effective resolution of complex issues Advanced ability to understand individual staff and manager capabilities and to assign work appropriately Demonstrated executive presence and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders Advanced expertise to lead, design, develop and deliver learning products and services to the business Client-focused, solutions-oriented approach to achieve mutually beneficial business results Advanced judgment and decision making skills Comprehensive financial acumen including budgeting and resource management Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills

Management Role: May direct through lower management levels and / or highly skilled specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independent judgment. In some instances may be responsible for a functional area (as determined by executive management) and not have subordinate supervisors or employees. May manage employees across multiple regions.
