Job Purpose:

The Payment Specialist 2 is contributor in the Payment Office, focused on delivering across their assigned tasks while further refining their expertise and competencies. They are typically responsible for average studies and an average size portfolio. They can effectively support and proactively projects and tasks as assigned with general supervision.

Key Accountabilities: Ensure accuracy and timely site payments for study portfolio. Keeps internal and external team members aware of site payment status and issues. Authorize study setups before starting payments. Resolve second line helpdesk issues for assigned portfolio. Assist in the preparation of project status reports as needed. Works with IFA and project team to ensure appropriate funding prior to administering payments. Proactively participates in Investigator Payment Planning (IPP) Meetings, providing input to payment strategy planning for incoming studies. QualificationsRole requirements: BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Life Sciences, alternatives considered based on experience. 2 + years of experience in clinical operations, finance, or grant payment position (Level 2 & up) within CRO/Pharma. Strong proficiency in using Excel for spreadsheet analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding fundamentals of CRO industry and how IPO's role influences in the organization. Fluent English. Communication & Partnering Skills. Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; Puts success of team above own interests; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed. Contributes to building a positive team spirit. Listens and responds constructively to other team members’ ideas. Expresses disagreement constructively (e.g., by emphasizing points of agreement, suggesting alternatives that may be acceptable to the group).
