This is a temporary position covering for maternity leave.

Parexel is looking for a highly organized and driven individual to join our HR Global Services Team. The HR Specialist acts as a first point of contact and support for managers and employees who require HR assistance with using or accessing HR programs and processes. This role is responsible for providing a timely and accurate response or properly redirecting the inquiry, to help the employee resolve or address their need via email, phone, or ticketing system. May serve as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) or as a Single Point of Contact for a particular HR program, service, or system. Responsible for new hire orientation facilitation and coordination. This is a hybrid work schedule that allows for a few days working from home and a few days working from our corporate offices in Durham, NC!

Your Activities: Responding to a wide variety of employees’ and managers’ HR related inquiries via email, ticketing, and telephone requests for HR services support Providing high level administrative and systems related support Participating in international projects and cross-functional initiatives Leading complex, large-scale HR Service Team tasks or projects with minimal oversight Maintaining accurate files and records in compliance with company and local/country requirements Generating and tracking HR reports Facilitating a high level of communication within the team, across HR and with clients Creating and Managing broadcast communications related to available services and systems Coordinating and presenting companywide New Hire Orientation as needed Other duties as required

You Skills: Ability to work effectively across departments and cultures Strong written and oral communication Highly organized Experience working with HR systems and applications, Workday experience preferred by not required Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to learn and navigate complete HR supported systems and processes

Your Profile: Professional training or Bachelor’s Degree in an area of Human Resources, Journalism, Communications or other equivalent discipline 2-3 years HR experience in any capacity English fluency required; Spanish fluency preferred as role has some crossover with LATAM Experience in a shared services role
