Assistant technicien in animal health – $1,500 Bonus

 

We are looking for an assistant technician 2 in animal health to join our Toxicology team located in Senneville (West of Montreal Island)

 

How will you have an impact

 

As an Assistant Technician, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Salary:

  Basic : $18.00 / hour;  Evening: $2.50 premium added to your hourly rate Weekend : $2.75 premium added to your hourly rate After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half Holiday: Paid at double time Annual bonus based on performance. Bonus of 1,500$ after 6 months.

 

Full-Time Schedule :

Standard : Mostly day shifts, weekend rotations, with the possibility of overtime in the evenings and nights as needed

 

Condensed: Friday to Sunday – 10 hours per day for a total of 30 hours worked but paid for 37,5 hours What will you work on?  You will be responsible for the well-being of the animals. You will ensure that their environment is clean, provide their food and water and oversee their enrichment activities. You will also follow up on their clinical signs, record their body weight and food consumption as well as administer certain injections while respecting protocols.

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate must be a team player, have good time management skills, be able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg) , have a good understanding of written English and be available to work a variety of hours. 1-2 years’ experience working with animals is required. An AEP in animal care is an asset.

 

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test.
