Purpose

Manages the delivery of proposals and related client deliverables ensuring time and quality requirements are met. Manages the day-to-day activities of department staff and participates in the resolution of proposal-related issues as these arise.

ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, manages, trains, and provides performance feedback for assigned staff.Manages the operations of the assigned staff including work streams, resources and workload ensuring client deliverables are appropriately customized, of high quality and on time.Facilitates the development of global multi-service proposals, sets expectations for bidding teams, and ensures appropriate strategy is applied to proposals.Works with team members across all functional areas to ensure the most comprehensive and appropriate strategy is represented in the proposal and budget. Education/Experience Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, and experience. 1 year of leadership responsibility

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage employee performance Strong financial acumen Strong judgment and decision making skills Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing Ability to work well under pressure Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills and problem solving ability Strong knowledge of clinical development process including functional operations and regulatory guidelines and directives Expertise in budgeting across multiple service areas within a CRO environment Ability to build relationships and work effectively in matrix organizations Strong knowledge of clinical operations across service areas Demonstrated confidence and ability to provide convincing argument for chosen strategy/approach Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and proposal development software

Management Role Manages experienced professionals and / or subordinate management who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Often heads one or more sections or a small department.
