The Senior Director, Clinical Operations is responsible to strategize, lead, and manage the US, Canada, and Latin America region and functional team of 350 + employees, to ensure that Parexel delivers quality projects to its clients and achieves agreed revenue margins.

Key Responsibilities Include Responsible for the regional strategy, managing and developing staff and their performance, continuously striving for operational excellence, controlling the budget, and interacting directly with clients in a way that results in repeat business. Responsible for utilizing metrics to drive performance, productivity and resourcing. Ensure appropriate management practices are in place (e.g., retention and development plans, succession planning) to retain staff and maintain project and business continuity. Actively promote new business by participating in project bids and client presentations as appropriate. QualificationsExperience / Skills Required Significant work experience including substantial management experience and knowledge in clinical research industry; CRO and/or Pharmaceutical Industry experience preferred Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (including experience in making presentations at conferences, meetings, training sessions) Proven success in leading in a matrix environment and value the importance of teamwork. Ability and demonstrated strength in managing Managers and leading diverse teams. Ability to manage and motivate direct reports and wider team. Capable and successful in managing full workload across multiple and varied projects/tasks with tight deadlines Ability to assess situations and make and carry through difficult decisions Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong computing knowledge including but not limited to the Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), EDC, IWRS, and MS-Office products such as Excel and Word Strong negotiation, influencing, business and financial acumen skills

Education

Bachelors or Advanced Degree (biological science, pharmacy, or other health-related discipline
