Parexel has an exciting opportunity for Home based, Consultant, Resource Management to support the Global Study Start Up Team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Study Start Up Services this position requires an individual who is a high energy, strategic thinking resource professional. The person selected for this position will support the global clinical study start up team as well as support and partner with all levels of management in the business unit.

The Consultant, Resource Management is responsible to support the resourcing function for a global department ( Study Start Up). Has a good understanding of in -depth anal y tics, use of various data sources, and comfortable in resourcing tradeoffs/ negotiations. Engages with senior levels of the business to influence resource related decisions and challenge assumpt ions. Adapts resourcing models and processes to an ever-changing corporate environment.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic
· Maintain macro-level understanding of awarded work, potential new business, resource demand
for the next 3-6 months, resource suppl y and challenges within the scope of the role
· Play an advisory role and help drive decisions in a matrix environment
· Engage with VPs and Directors to ensure alignment relating to resourcing decisions
· Maintains a good understanding of industry best practices on resourcing
· Makes strategic recommendations for resourcing size and mix forecasts at a client level
· Engage with senior leaders to optimize resourcing and resolve resourcing issues
Deep-Dive Analytics
· Pa rticipa te in staf f mee ting s of ope ra tiona l lea de rship a nd se e n a s an influencer to resourcing decisions
· Maintains a good understanding of the demand/supply alignment of resources
· Develop, prepare, and distribute resourcing projection reports. Have a good understanding of demand variability and how to address through a combination of organic hiring and access to staffing
vendors globally
· Provide resourcing overv iew to operational leads/heads as appropriate
· Evaluate Account level utilization and work with account leaders to balance as appropriate
· Monitor upcoming project level milestone to mitigate risk
Operational Support
· Serve as point of contact for “hot” multi-function / geograph y resource escalation
· Actively engage with appropriate partners to remove data noise to allow for accurate planning

· Engage with senior PRO management to understand a need for insight through data;
independentl y structure and perform anal y sis to provide insight
· Engage with study teams to plan resources for a study
· Lead the resolution of unmet needs b y managing global escalations for an y given client.
· Supports the client and project teams in developing the detailed demand plans for new projects
and projects with a significant ramp-up or ramp-down in resources
· Ensures the correct administration of client ring fence strategies
· Develops, records and tracks Key Performance Indicators of operational resourcing
performance and ensures that service delivery is maintained at agreed target levels

· De ve lop a nd e va lua te re s ourc ing p r oce dure s, proce sses, and training materials

Education
· Bachelor’s degree required; Master /MBA a plus
M inim um Wo r k E x p er i e nce
· Relevant work experience in CRO or pharmaceutical field
