Sr Systems Developer

Working with minimal direction, this position will provide systems analysis, design, development, testing and support for mid-sized to large information systems.Responsibilities include: Works with data scientists, dashboard developers, and data engineers to develop data pipelines. Provides recommendations on database design and data models for Analytics. Prepares and approves system documentation, including requirements document, specification document, test plans and user manuals. Performs unit and system tests and, as needed, validation testing. Coordinates with operations staff on deployment of applications and management of data warehouse platform. Works with business partners and operations to analyze and address support requests and issues. Provides guidance to junior staff and contract labor in executing systems development responsibilities. Ensures all activities are performed with quality and compliance.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced SQL Knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc) Experience working with Cloud MPP columnar databases (Snowflake preferred but not required) Experience developing ETL and ELT pipelines (Talend preferred but not required) Knowledge of GIT, Jenkins (CI), Agile methodologies Knowledge of programming languages – JavaScript, Python, Java Experience with Automation including Unit, Integration Testing, shell scripting Experience working with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred but not required) Familiarity with the following systems & skills preferred: Windows & Linux/Unix Servers, Validated System Experience, Clinical Industry Knowledge, Project Management
