This role can be based at our UK Head Office situated in Uxbridge or at our Medcom flagship in Littlehampton or even be homebased in the UK, The offices are open planned and you will be working in an innovative and collaborative environment with colleagues from around the world.

As the Director, Digital Engagement you will be accountable for the successful service line delivery and long-term growth of Digital Engagement. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the digital landscape and the ability to be creative in the design of innovative solutions that meet our client’s needs, this is imperative for this position. You will do this through a comprehensive understanding of MedCom’s offerings, processes, clients and the healthcare industry, leading the development of innovative and effective digital offerings and be responsible for developing new business strategies and novel solutions for our clients. You will provide strategic, operational, leadership, management and direction to this group to ensure the highest quality service to our clients.

Accountability:

Digital and Creative Strategy Excellence- Develop and implement a long-term vision and growth strategy for the department, the functional operational processes that enable its successful delivery and then proactively and regularly communicate this within the group and organization- Aligns strategic and departmental initiatives are aligned with MedCom and the wider R&A group’s vision and strategy

Business development- Actively prospect and leverage opportunities for Digital Engagement within other PAREXEL business units- Develop detailed business plans and sales strategies in liaison with VP CCMEE. Monitor actions and results against plans

Consultancy- Provide a range of digital delivery advice within area of expertise- Facilitate client decision-making by framing issues, presenting options, and providing objective advice

Thought Leadership- Represent MedCom’s capabilities and expertise by presenting when required to internal groups and clients- To raise the profile of MedCom’s offerings, seek out opportunities to attend and participate in major Industry events and provide thought leadership

Operational Leadership- Leadership and direction of Digital Engagement group to ensure client focused, profitable and timely delivery of all projects and programs to the highest standards- In-depth understanding if the department’s service offerings and processes to direct operations effectively

Team leadership- Undertake the full range of duties relevant to the leadership, management and development of the team to ensure their performance meets and or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals/objectives - Maintain a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner

Financial oversight- Works with the VP to establish and ensure achievement of annual departmental P&Ls- Ongoing management and oversight of the group’s financial metrics to achieve P&L targets in conjunction with Finance Business Partner and Finance team

QualificationsEducation- Degree in a relevant area to include Marketing, Business Management or Communications and/or equivalent managerial, business development and account management experience as above within the pharmaceutical industry in a similar role is required

Knowledge and Experience:- Must have strong previous experience in a Line Management position across a team of at least 5 employees.- Worked at a minimum level as Senior Manager , preferably more senior at Director level.- Worked in a large Corporate environment- CRO, Pharmaceutical Industry, Client or MedComs Agency experience preferred- Extensive knowledge of the digital landscape in healthcare to include technical knowledge and its future state- Able to demonstrate proven success in account management and client relationship building and leveraging new business opportunities to develop new service offerings
