As a Senior Systems Specialist, you will engineer innovative technology solutions using your knowledge of programming languages (R, SQL). You will work in collaboration with lab personnel and IT to improve efficiencies in the lab.

Essential functions:

Acts as a subject matter expert, possessing advanced system knowledge related to the delivery of task completion (in-system configurations, system template development, reports, etc.). Ensures deliverables are accurate, qualified, registered, and comply with required formats and within established timelines. Provides high level support to the roll-out of all system changes. Evaluates revisions and updates in relation to system configurations. Interfaces with other departments for the completion of system configurations, qualifications, implementation, and training. Ensures compliance with PPD and Client policies and procedures. Provides project management for various departmental projects and initiatives. Serves as a subject matter expert in relation to systems.

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of laboratory processes Expert knowledge in R programming language Proven experience designing databases using R, SQL Strong knowledge of SQL programming language Proven problem-solving skills Ability to train new and existing employees Detail oriented with excellent editorial/proofreading skills Strong computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Ability to multitask Strong customer service skills Advanced knowledge of system template or report development Ability to coach and mentor junior team members Effective coaching and mentoring skills Effective presentation and public speaking skills Ability to act as subject matter expert Solid time management and organization skills
