Job Summary
The Systems Operations Engineer 2 is responsible for contributing to the streamlining the DrugDev Spark platform from development to deployment. The Systems Engineer 2 helps improve existing infrastructure as it pertains to performance, security, and scalability.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Lead small projects to push forward our SaaS infrastructure to support rapidly increasing user demand
With oversight, build out and automate our development tool chain to support continuous validation of software in compliance with strict regulatory requirements.
Perform performance tuning, monitoring, patching and other system administration tasks to support fault tolerant, high availability infrastructure.
Participate in the design and development of our software solutions, ensuring that we deliver solutions that are suited to our operational demands as well as customer needs.
Write and maintain Ansible playbooks to thoroughly automate our operations processes.
Support our integrations pipeline and troubleshoot issues.

Minimum Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher
At least 3 years of experience managing production systems in a SaaS environment or equivalent experience
Experience in developing configuration management scripts or equivalent experience
Fewer years of experience will be acceptable with directly relevant coding expertise
Skill Requirements
Experience with managing systems in production using an infrastructure as code model
Knowledge of networking and system security
Very strong experience in Windows/Linux environment and strong familiarity with Redhat/Centos
The ability to be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation
Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills
