Looking for a Team Lead, SAS Programming for ICON

If you are someone with 8 plus years of experience in SAS Programming coupled with some line management experience this might be the right opportunity for you.

Job responsibilitiesThe Team Lead will support the technical development of the team and also fulfill the roles of SAS Lead on projects as requiredThe role involves coordinating SAS Programming tasks and supporting in resource allocation as requiredAssess training needs and make arrangements for the sameTo provide technical and managerial leadership, including mentorship and training of direct reports.To actively participate in the development and refinement of global statistical programming standards, as well as supporting best practices and process improvement initiatives across the department.Participate in interviewing and recruitment of staffConduct the administrative activities of line reports including provision of regular meetings, objective setting and performing appraisals Manage the development and training of line reports Perform these responsibilities in addition to the job requirements relating to the technical job title

* Plan all SAS program development tasks, and Internal Quality review requirements for that portion of any SAS programming project which has been assigned

* Assign programming and internal quality review tasks to Indian SAS programmers within a project team

* Plan ahead, perform early review of all assigned project work and compile queries for the team leads

* Is responsible to ensure that all output within a project is accurate and has consistent appearance

* Maintains study documentation and files according to departmental policy

* Periodically reviews best practices for SAS programming projects done in collaboration with different offices (EU I US I other) and reports on training needs or suggests process improvements to Manager and/or Team Leader

* Maintains professional currency through literature review and membership of professional bodies

* Other duties as required.
