We are looking for candidates who have graduated with a degree or certification in clinical research. This position will be an office-based position.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for providing administrative support for the SSU Department. Tasks will include but are not limited to submission support (compilation of paper submissions and the necessary courier activity to regulatory agencies as required), tracking using applicable tools and other duties as required.

Supports wider teams/departments as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative support for the collation of submission packages (paper) and the necessary distribution to applicable ethics committees (central and local)
  • Supports facilitation of payments to applicable regulatory bodies
  • Assist the Study Start-Up Manager (SSUM) with collation of appropriate data to support start up activities
  • Assists in scanning site documents to the shared (G) drive and file using filing conventions.
  • Assists with the filing of documents into ISFs and TMF
  • Assists with the creation of templates for regulatory documents specific to local/central ethics committee submissions as applicable
  • Updates Biotech database(s) as documents are received by SSU team members
  • Conducts all activities according to appropriate IQVIA Biotech and/or sponsor SOPs
  • Performs other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and assess and recommend specific solutions.
  • Ability to work somewhat independently, prioritize effectively and work within a matrix team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in science or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

CLASSIFICATION (US):

This position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act; employees are eligible for overtime compensation subject to prior approval.
