Our pathology department consists of 13 anatomic and 3 clinical pathologist. Our site offers a full range of preclinical services, utilizing a full range of laboratory animal species, with several areas of specialty study focus, including reproductive and inhalation pathology, among others. Located in North Central Ohio, we are convenient to Cleveland, Columbus, and Akron-Canton; however, opportunities may exist for fully remote, onsite or hybrid work.

Our veterinary clinical pathologists are responsible for independently evaluating  hematologic/cytologic specimens, preparing reports delineating pathological findings, and assisting with laboratory supervision. With minimal supervision, veterinary clinical pathologists work with customers as needed to market company services and to assure customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interpret clinical pathology data, examine hematologic/cytologic specimens and provide clinical pathology reports. Provide training, technical guidance and leadership to laboratory staff and may provide training, guidance, and leadership to less experienced pathologists. May serve as a consultant in pathology-related issues. May provide scientific expertise for experimental design and other aspects of research studies as needed. Job Qualifications

Qualifications: Education: Doctoral degree (D.V.M./V.M.D.) from an accredited veterinary school, or acceptable international equivalent in veterinary medicine. Experience: 6 or more years of pathology experience post-D.V.M., toxicologic pathology experience preferred Certification/Licensure: American College of Veterinary Pathologists (A.C.V.P.) board-certification is required Other: Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought. Works on problems of diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
