Perform general maintenance work in lab chicken houses and laboratories

Wage for this role is $19.00 per hour with Full benefits and 401k!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Perform general maintenance duties as assigned by Manager Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in the daily repair and preventive maintenance of physical plants and equipment   Follow and keep up-to-date with Biosecurity policy and changes. Inspect completed mechanical repairs for quality, safety, and proper operation. Perform equipment calibration and preventive maintenance procedures as directed. Assist in maintenance, installation and construction projects as assigned by Manager. Perform general maintenance on lab equipment including refrigerators, freezers, incubators, etc. Perform all duties following prescribed safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as required. May operate yard equipment such as tractors and pallet jacks. Job Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education:   High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). Experience:   1-2 years related experience and/or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure:  Valid driver’s license. Other:   Basic maintenance skills—carpentry, plumbing, equipment repair, and painting. Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office software)

The wage range for this position is generally $18.25 per hour to $30.41 per hour. Wage ranges are subject to change without notice by Charles River.
