What will you work on?

Charles River is looking for an experienced and seasoned payroll supervisor to support their Canadian payroll function. In addition to having significant Canadian payroll experience the ideal candidate would also have experience with US payroll or feel confident to learn, as the company seeks to ensure both it’s Canadian and US payroll teams are cross trained. 

The Supervisor Payroll will be responsible for administering the Canadian payroll function and act as backup when needed for the Canadian payroll Manager.  Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll. Establish and ensure the proper processes and controls are put in place to ensure accuracy of data. As a senior member of the team, the incumbent of this role will also collaborate/lead process improvement initiatives. Someone who enjoys a challenge, a person who can see themselves helping to shape the future of a world class payroll department.  Who are we looking for? We are seeking a motivated individual with DEC in Administration or any combination of experience and academic background relevant to the position will be considered ;  8-10 years of relevant and solid Canadian Payroll experience utilizing ADP Workforce now or ADP Global view, with exposure to acquisitions, mergers and conversions. Strong aptitudes in team management and demonstrating leadership skills.  Strong focus on customer service, both internal and external customers; Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) with the National Payroll Institute (previously Canadian Payroll Association) or equivalent is considered a strong asset.
