Job Summary

Charles River Laboratories Edinburgh is now recruiting for a fixed term Assistant Human Resources Coordinator (9 month contract duration) to join the Talent Acquisition team based at our site in Tranent, East Lothian. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and genuine talent and recruitment professional to join a global company at the forefront of the Scottish Life Sciences sector in the development of new medicines, vaccines and therapies. Reporting into the Manager Talent Acquisition your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the full recruitment life cycle and operation of the day-to-day recruitment processes including scheduling interviews, liaising with interview candidates and hiring managers
  • Conduct background, reference and security checks for interview candidates
  • Processing accurate new hire and employee data in our HRIS
  • Processing contractual documentation and employee resignations
  • Liaise effectively with the wider HR team and business stakeholders where necessary
  • Management of a shared HR inbox
  • Assisting with onboarding and new hire integration

We’re Looking For

  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive and close knit team
  • Proven experience in working to deadlines and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to cope under pressure ensuring tasks are processed effectively and efficiently
  • Strong numeracy, administration and IT skills including excel
  • Strong attention to detail

The salary for this position is £26,244.91 per annum.

This role is currently being advertised as a Fixed Term Contract, from August 2023 to April 2024.
