Job Overview
This role sits within the Strategic Partnerships Team within the Commercial Business Organization, R&D Solutions Global Business Unit and is focused on working with customer teams and IQVIA Business Units to shape and close transactions that drive business growth.  As part of this role, the Associate Director will design and present client- or partner-specific operational and business models that support proactive and competitive strategic business development opportunities that may be either R&D-specific or support growth in or across a number of global business units.  Operating in this position will involve understanding customer and corporate needs, IQVIA and competitor capabilities (operational, therapeutic, and technological), and business/financial principles as well as an ability to work with diverse teams of people from across our organization to architect solutions.  The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare and IQVIA business and operational capabilities, as well as strong finance, presentation, and communication skills (including a high degree of comfort presenting and speaking in customer settings) and a high degree of creativity.

Essential Functions
• Engage with Customer Teams (including global account leaders and sales teams) and directly with customers to understand business needs and areas of opportunity for IQVIA
• Work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams to proactively develop market analyses, partnership solutions, and business structures to support transactions and business development efforts
• Participate in customer presentations and bid defense activities to articulate and demonstrate the value of IQVIA solutions
• Support strategy development and account planning activities by providing visibility to solutions/models across our customer base and trends being seen in the market
• Manage the accumulation, organization, and access of solutions materials (including strategic proposals and presentations) to support the sharing of knowledge across the IQVIA organization

Qualifications
• Graduate Degree, preferably an MBA, plus minimum 5 years professional experience including minimum of 3 years in an Operations, Project Management, Consulting, or Technology-related role, or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Strong healthcare and clinical development industry knowledge and experience
• Broad understanding of IQVIA’s unique business, operational, and technology capabilities
• Strong critical thinking and analysis/integration skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational skills and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of comfort working in team environments
• Possess strong decision making skills with the ability to be assertive
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment
