VP, Technical Operations, US Commercial Solutions
Reporting to the SVP, Commercial Solutions, the VP of Technical Operations will be responsible for the planning, architecture, coordination and delivery of US based technical services hubs; as well as the strategic development of operational capabilities required to provide key service outcomes for IQVIA customers. Through deep market knowledge and by connecting the full suite of IQVIA technologies and services, the VP of Technical Operations & Delivery Excellence will also play a critical role in shaping both full product life cycles as well as IQVIA Technologies strategic road map.
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provides overall strategic leadership, vision, and execution for IQVIA’s Technical Operations Service Delivery Infrastructure, ensuring support of business, financial and customer objectives leading to revenue growth and retention
  • Works in partnership with the IQVIA Global Technologies organization to influence architecture and design strategies that ensure operational support systems, solutions, processes and technology plans are aligned with Service Delivery needs.
  • Works effectively with peers across regional and global business units to include sales, marketing, product development and operations to negotiate and influence customer improvements
  • Drives cross-function focus on program costs, efficiencies, capacity planning and project health
  • Provides leadership and expertise on industry leading technologies, reporting tools, data management methodologies, infrastructure and best practices within data science driven environments (i.e. snowflake)
  • Remains current on industry and competitor products, services, etc. in efforts to help drive innovation, feed intelligence to internal stakeholders and influence the shaping of product life cycles and strategic road maps.
  • Informs and leads change-management initiatives such as consolidation or structuring of delivery models that align with evolution of customer needs and market landscape
  • Ensures strategic, effective and scalable resource management models across all existing and incoming customer projects
  • Leads cross functional group efforts with global technology teams, compliance and product groups to build end to end views into customer interactions for faster detection, mitigation, and virtuous improvements.
  • Identifies opportunities that will provide customers with reliable, sustainable and impactful engagement solutions. 
  • Participates with peer functional groups to develop, manage, track, and analyze operational support structures, tools, methods and procedures, processes, to gain maximum effectiveness, efficiencies, and a quality customer experience
  • Matrix Management and daily interaction with key stakeholder partners to ensure successful alignment of customer facing operational strategies across the enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Experience developing, operationalizing and managing strategic technical operations functions within a Technology enabled Services environment (Healthcare / Life Sciences experience preferred)
  • Able to communicate complex, technologically advanced ideas to others in a clear, effective and motivating manner.
  • Strong executive leadership, organizational, prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills including experience with writing business cases and business requirements documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics to include IQVIA technology services competitors across all offerings, as well as understanding competitor pricing with ability to recommend pricing targets for IQVIA solutions.
  • Extensive experience in delivering implementation and installation services for integrated IT solutions, services vendor management, capability enablement and project management.
  • Demonstrated leader and a strong cross-functional team collaborator who has experience defining, maintaining and executing customer delivery models while ensuring all SLAs are met and reflected in customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Strong relationship development and management, and a customer service orientation
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Deep knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem, especially as it relates to health IT solutions
  • Excellent judgement and ability to manage and communicate effectively regarding issues and risks inherent in large scale software and or service implementations
  • Ability to build collaborative and collegial working relationships with colleagues and clients
