We are seeking an In Vitro Assay Technicianfor ourDiscoverysite located inMorrisville, NC.

The following are responsibilities related to theIn Vitro Assay Technician:

• Design and perform routine through advanced in-vitro, ex-vivo, and cell based assays.

• Perform multi parameter flow cytometry assays and analysis.

• Independently prepare routine through moderate level technical reports summaries, protocols, qualitative analyses, and maintain appropriate documentation.

• Ensure the review of protocols with manager to ensure proper study execution; verify protocol designs are properly updated before initiation and assure raw data has been properly processed.

• Review study; provide feedback on accuracy of materials and report results to senior research staff.

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment.

• Inventory, re-stock and order supplies with the approval of manager and track in accordance with set quarterly/annual budgets.

• Provide assistance to research associates as assigned.

• Provide assistance in organizing and participate in providing technical training seminars for technical staff.

• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theIn Vitro Assay Technicianposition:

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in biology or related field.

• Experience: 2 to 4 years experience in a pharmaceutical support laboratory (formulation, in-vitro, and ex-vivo assays, etc.) and experience in the collection, interpretation and entry of data. A minimum of 2 years experience in multi parameter flow cytometry and with multiple immunoassay systems. Strong understanding of immunology, biochemical, and molecular biology. Ability to independently work on basic to complex problems and should fully use scientific principles, theories, and technical skills to solve scientific problems. .

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
