The PPD Business Analytics Specialist provides support for incoming commercial data requests, gathers user requirements and designs the functional specifications for analytical reports, dashboards or analysis. Develops reports and dashboards from multiple data sources using various software tools and reporting tools to identify and resolve data issues.

Assists users with data extrapolation from multiple sources; generates summary data. Develops, codes and tests queries and reports against various databases based on user-specified criteria to fulfill user requirements. Applies comprehensive business knowledge and thorough understanding of database structure and capabilities to filter and guide business user requests. Delivers and/or supports training to project teams and users on reporting systems and functionality, specifically utilizing pre-defined reports and tools.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-2 years). Highly prefer 2-3 years of experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to multitask, prioritize and pay close attention to detail Experience supporting business applications - highly preferred Strong proficiency in Excel and understanding report structures Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of relational database concepts Skill to organize and analyze interpret data trends Ability to focus on project work and efficiently bring projects to completion Familiarity with data manipulation or presentation tools such as SQL, report writing packages, or MS Access Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity applications (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel) Ability to effectively manage projects, budgets and timelines Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities
