  Job Summary The Charles River Labs Corporate Communications team is seeking a proactive, motivated, creative, independent thinker to join our team as a Corporate Communications Content Strategist. This person will work with our cross functional team to organize and manage all of the content the team produces. This person will perfectly curate content to effectively target employees across the job, across various channels. They will be responsible for identifying new ways to share content across the company globally, as well as maintain current communication channels, like our global monthly newsletter, and our editorial calendar.

They will also be the primary manager and expert of one of communication channels: our email platform, Poppulo. They must be able to master the platform, manage content cascading, and be the primary contact for Poppulo within the company.

The Corporate Communications Content Strategist will also manage all communications at the Wilmington site, including a weekly newsletter.

This role is highly dependent on technology, so the right candidate must be a quick learner and thrive on taking on new technological challenges. Graphic design experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Strategize, organize, and curate all Corporate Communications content

• Manage our email program, Poppulo, and become an expert on the platform

• Manage all communications at our headquarters in Wilmington

• Understand our internal and external channels to develop new strategies to repurpose content

• Manage the Corporate Communications editorial calendar and monthly global newsletter

• Develop and maintain content repository Job Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience

• Experience with Poppulo

• Experience learning and becoming proficient on new technology

• Ability to drive projects across a cross-functional team

• Experience managing content across multiple channels

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to draft content for internal employee channels

• Excellent planning, organization, and implementation skills

• Quick thinker with exceptional attention to detail

• Innovative, with a critical/creative thinker mindset

• The ability to work independently and be flexible, and embrace change enthusiastically

About Corporate Functions 

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development. They partner with their colleagues across the company to develop and drive strategies and to set global standards. The functions are essential to providing a bridge between strategic vision and operational readiness, to ensure ongoing functional innovation and capability improvement.
