We are seeking a Animal Resource Assistantfor our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, Nevada.

The Animal Resource Assistantis responsible for assisting the Animal Resource team in the documentation and management of all processing events of newly arrived animals, quarterly physicals, bleeds and other related activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONCIBILITIES:

Perform and demonstrate proficiency in basic veterinary technical skills (i.e. collection of biological samples, TB tests, veterinary observations, etc.). Perform animal follow-up observations as required. Clean animal areas, transport animals and maintain related equipment. Assist in the documentation of pre-study data materials. Work with multiple departments to accomplish pre-study technical tasks. Provide general animal husbandry; observe animals and report health and behavioral abnormalities. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). Experience: No previous experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: none Other: None
