We are seeking a Sr. Employee Communications Manager for our Corporate site located in Wilmington, MA (Remote).

The Sr. Employee Communications Manager will advise executives and senior leaders and develop and implement internal communication strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire employees with Charles River’s vision and business strategy and drive employees' understanding of and engagement with Charles River’s priorities and key initiatives. This role will work closely with our Chief People Officer to drive our People strategy as well as integration communications in support of M&A activity.

Essesntial Duties &Responsibilities

• Work closely with executives and senior leaders on communication strategies and activities to support key corporate initiatives, such as our People and M&A Communications strategies.

• Provide strategic counsel to executives and senior leaders and develop messaging and internal communications for company and industry updates, key initiatives, and other topics.

• Develop internal communications programs that mobilize employees to achieve the company's goals.

• Create and support execution of communications plans for corporate groups and site directors for regular communications touchpoints and change initiatives as needed.

• Manage all phases of communications development from evaluating effectiveness and identifying needs through planning, execution and measurement.

• Recommend and plan communications strategies, programs or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results.

• Create clear, concise and timely communications that convey key messages tied to business/company goals and foster employee understanding and commitment.

• Develop well-crafted written material for a variety of audiences from senior executives to front-line employees and for various communication vehicles including the intranet, e-mail, speeches, presentations and print collateral.

• Measure communications effectiveness using best practices and KPIs.

• Advise and counsel others on effective internal communications strategies and tactics.

• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Perform all other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in marketing, communications, human resources or related discipline. Graduate degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 7-9 years related experience in employee communications for a multi-site organization, including advising executives and senior leaders.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

• Certification/Licensure: None

• Other: Excellent writing and marketing skills required. Effective communication skills for large, multicultural, multinational audiences. Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, influencing, aligning, and active listening. Must feel comfortable discussing communication needs with executives, senior leaders and key stakeholders at a global level. Must be able to meet deadlines and work with tight deadlines and competing priorities.

The Corporate Functions provide operational support across Charles River in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Corporate Development.
