We are seeking aResearch Specialistfor ourDiscovery BioanalyticalTeamlocated in Mattawan, MI.

The Research Specialistin Discovery Bioanalytical is responsible for:following established methods to quantify chemical entities according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or GxP regulations. This individual demonstrates proficiency in the use of instrumentation and laboratory techniques. This individual contributes to the department by completing assigned projects on time, participating in process improvement initiatives, and communicating effectively with others.

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Research Specialistposition:

HS/GED and 12 or more years of relevant experience or Associate’s degree and 6 or moreyears of relative experience or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree and 2 or more years of relevantexperience; contract research organization experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactorysubstitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Demonstrated proficiency using laboratory software application, including laboratoryinformation management systems (LIMS) and data acquisition software. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside theorganization. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn avalidated system. Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited toevenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice. Ability to work under specific time constraints Method development, method qualification and Sample analysis studies in biological matrices as directed by study protocol Performs extraction (e.g., LLE, SPE, and SLE) of samples from various biological matrices. Performs a variety of laboratory techniques including sample weighing and recording, preparation of standard solutions, buffers, sample preparation and extraction etc. Perform LC-MS/MS chromatographic assays for quantitation of small molecules. Processes and review data per SOP and protocol guidelines and performs scientific evaluation of data. Design, develop and troubleshoot experiment if necessary.
