Exec Director, Marketing - Evidera

Evidera, PPD’s peri-and post-approval business, is seeking a talented and energetic marketing leader to provide strategic oversight of all marketing operations and strategy. As an experienced marketing leader, you will work with senior leaders at the highest levels of the organization and provide strategic guidance to the Evidera marketing team as they develop and implement programs and promotional campaigns to support brand awareness and new lead generation. You will play an important leadership role in developing proactive marketing strategies, launching and promoting new offerings, and developing engaging and persuasive messaging to elevate the quality of marketing collateral and promotions. You will also serve as the primary ambassador and steward of the Evidera brand, and as the principal spokesperson for the business unit on highly significant matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Develop and manage the overall Evidera go-to-market framework and strategy, as well as the value propositions, messaging, and key differentiators for all practice areas and key offerings.Partner with senior leadership across the organization to define marketing objectives and strategies for practices areas, offerings, and relevant events or accomplishments.Provide strategic leadership for planning, development, implementation, and tracking of all marketing programs.Maintain and refine the Evidera brand and brand guidelines, and serve as a key liaison between the organization and its customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors, and media audiences.Develop the strategy and provide strategic oversight for ongoing tradeshow participation, thought leadership content creation, advertising, website and social media content and infrastructure development, sales support materials, media and public relations activities, and internal communications materials.Direct measurement of success of department initiatives, analyzing performance at a campaign/activity-level to understand success patterns and identify potential improvements and refinement of deliverables.Identify current and future trends impacting marketing and sales strategies and proactively collaborate with commercial and operational leadership to minimize gaps and ensure success.Liaise with PPD commercial colleagues to develop collaborative marketing campaigns, ensure alignment of messaging, and identify synergies and opportunities to improve processes.Manage a high performing marketing team, including providing direction for professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, and corrective action.

Qualifications

A minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience with 8 years of management responsibility is required, preferably in a healthcare or professional services environment.Proven ability to plan, develop, obtain leadership consensus, and execute integrated strategic marketing plans.Demonstrated experience in the successful management and delivery of all components of a global marketing function.

Previous experience in designing and managing marketing campaigns, digital marketing, and advertising required.

Ability to think strategically and develop value propositions, messaging, and marketing/selling strategies that align with corporate priorities and branding.Advanced understanding of corporate branding and the ability to develop, maintain, and work within set brand guidelines.Proven professional management, supervisory, budget and negotiation skills.Proven ability to strategically prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects under pressure.Must have strong organizational skills, superior attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with various levels of staff, vendors, and external organizations.Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.

Education and ExperienceBA/BS degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or sales/business development. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, contract research organizations, late phase clinical research, market access, and/or health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) areas a plus.
