At Covance in Huntingdon we are looking to recruit a Laboratory Scientist to join our Chemistry Manufacturing & Controls R&D team.

 

Job responsibilities include: Performing analytical testing on clients’ R&D studies. Supporting method development, method optimisation and pre-validation for the CMC R&D department. Ensuring our clients’ drug product methods are developed within agreed timelines. Using analytical techniques such as: immunoassays, western blots, ELISA, electrophoresis, activity assays. Performing data processing, data checking, method preparation and support report writing. Work on process improvement for the division.

* Scientific degree (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences etc.)

* OR relevant scientific industry experience. Experience:

*Experience working in an industrial lab using immunoassays, western blots, ELISA, electrophoresis, activity assays.

*Ability to multitask and prioritise workload, with excellent attention to detail.

*legible and accurate data documentation.

*Exceptional communication skills.

* Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project).

*An understanding of health and safety policies and of GMP/GLP/GCP.
