Project & Budget Coordinator/Analyst

The IRT (Interactive Response Technology) Project and Budget Coordinator, with the support and collaboration of the IRT Project Manager and Senior Reviewer for the project, is accountable for ensuring the timely monitoring and maintenance of hours by position by task by month such that the scope of services listed in the project contract and subsequent modifications can be met.Responsible for:- Coordination, management, and monitoring of budget and resource data for key IRT projects, including the allocation and distribution of IRT resources throughout the life of the project.- Forecasting budgeted units and recognizing those units as achieved once work completed.- Timely escalation of overspends/unsupported hours to IRT Project Manager- Utilize data trends to anticipate upcoming overspends or where study budgets may require modifications.The IRT (Interactive Response Technology) Project and Budget Coordinator, with the support and collaboration of the IRT Project Manager and Senior Reviewer for the project, is accountable for ensuring the timely monitoring and maintenance of hours by position by task by month such that the scope of services listed in the project contract and subsequent modifications can be met.Responsible for:- Coordination, management, and monitoring of budget and resource data for key IRT projects, including the allocation and distribution of IRT resources throughout the life of the project.- Forecasting budgeted units and recognizing those units as achieved once work completed.- Timely escalation of overspends/unsupported hours to IRT Project Manager- Utilize data trends to anticipate upcoming overspends or where study budgets may require modifications.Education and Experience:B.A. or B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area and 1 year accounting, or budgeting and forecasting experience OR

B.A. or B.S. in unrelated field and 2 years complex project management experience to include allocation of resources against budget, forecasting, and completion/coordination of related quantitative and analytical tasks. In some cases, an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional work experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be accepted.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Client-focused approach with excellent written and oral communication skills.- Excellent critical thinking skills to be able to connect scope of services and timelines to a distribution of resources.- Demonstrated organizational and negotiation skills- Excellent forecasting, budgeting, and resource management skills- Basic understanding of project management skills as they relate to resource projections- Ability to interact with department personnel and personnel from other functional areas with honesty and openness- Ability to focus on individual projects while covering similar aspects across multiple projects required- Ability to pay attention to detail- Ability to work independently
