The Director, Supply Chain Management, is responsible to establish and manage end to end supply chain across all business units and functions. The role will be responsible to establish the function, and will include but is not limited to: vendor identification, qualification and contracting asset lifecycle management license management vendor contract management planning, monitoring & review of software currency license, contract and entitlement compliance end-of-life and optional product replacement global category management global procurement operations risk management

Key Accountabilities are:

Asset Management: Promotes the continuing economic and effective provision of services, ensuring that all changes to assets and services are appropriately and accurately controlled and recorded. Provides information and advice on issues such as maintenance of hardware assets, licensing of software, protection of intellectual property, and legal obligations. . Sourcing: Takes overall responsibility for conformance to legislation; supply chain management; commercial governance; policy and procedures for selection of suppliers, tendering and procurement (including "build or buy" criteria, and benchmarking performance). Determines overall strategies for managing supplier relationships. Supplier Management: Determines overall supplier management strategy, embracing effective management and operational relationships at all levels. Leads collaborative supplier partnerships that reduce costs and risks and create opportunities for innovation and value creation. Aligns supplier performance objectives and relationship management activities with business and commercial objectives and sourcing strategies. Establishes a framework to monitor the service provided and deliver commercial value over the lifetime of the contract. Puts in place, and has overall responsibility for, conformance to legislation; supply chain management; commercial governance; risk management policies for selection of suppliers and bench-marking their performance. Contract Management: Negotiates and resolves contractual issues, including failure to meet contractual obligations. Promotes change control processes and leads variation negotiations when necessary. Champions continuous improvement programs, jointly developing strategies and incentives to enhance performance. Undertakes comprehensive financial evaluations. Ensures that lessons learned from reviews are documented and promoted with all stakeholders. Relationship Management: Leads the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans. Builds long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external). Facilitates the engagement of stakeholders and delivery of services and change projects, acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders, facilitating relationships between them. Negotiates to ensure that stakeholders understand and agree what will meet their needs, and that appropriate agreements are defined. Risk Management: Carries out risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business. Uses consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the business. Refers to domain experts for guidance on specialized areas of risk, such as architecture and environment. Performance Management: Manages individuals and groups, allocates responsibilities and/or packages of work, oversees performance of vendor portfolio. Provides support and guidance as required, in line with individual's abilities. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate. Advises individuals on career paths and encourages pro-active development of skills and capabilities. Sets performance targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle.
