Following a significant period of growth PPD are currently hiring an Associate Director SIA Team Management to Line Manage a team of SIA Team Managers globally. We are seeking an experienced and passionate people manager to provide strategic direction and create a high performance culture through leadership, management, coaching and development to achieve delivery of site activation service targets/measures and the effective development & implementation of systems, processes and policies for the group.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the line management for staff members including recruiting, inducting and training new team members. Provides ongoing coaching, feedback and training, addresses performance issues, conducts performance appraisals, development plans and career coaching.Ensures the timely and customer-focused execution of site activation with a focus on quality deliverables for assigned projectsSupports, develops and drives the specific and overall site activation strategies to ensure optimum performance and achievement of project plans and targetsFacilitates planning/kick-off meetings to identify potential risks and work with the project team to develop and communicate contingency plansReviews and assesses team profitability through the identification of “out of scope” activity and supporting follow through on all aspects of contract modificationCommunicates with sponsor(s) regularly to obtain direction and feedback on implementing scope of work as well as performance. Identifies unusual or significant problems encountered during the course of a clinical trial and proposes strategies for preventing or correcting problemsAssists in business development activities to obtain additional contracts by reviewing sections of proposals related to site start-up and presenting to potential clientsBuilds and cultivates productive relationships and internal/external contacts across the global SIA function to facilitate service delivery, client satisfaction and operational effectiveness. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with customers. Collaborates with business leads to achieve project goalsEnsures individual project targets are met, client satisfaction, services are provided with the highest quality standards and policies and procedures are followed.Contributes to and may lead change initiatives across department

Requirements

Previous line management experience within global start up teams is essentialExpertise in budgeting and resource managementSolid understanding of FDA, GCP, and ICH guidelines with a track record of successful operational deliveryStrategic thinking, planning and organization skillsAbility to analyze data, anticipate and mitigate risk, exercise sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making working under pressure and at times with limited desired informationAbility to use personal influence and persuasion to effectively promote ideas and proposalsEffective negotiation and problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution experience and ability to motivate managerial level employeesDemonstrates credible leadership style, with concise, well organized oral and written communication skills and proven ability to mobilize and foster team productivity
