Submission for the position: Associate Manager, GL Accounting for Poland & CEE - (Job Number: 187352)Accelerated Enrolment Solutions (AES) is a business unit of PPD that offers both sponsors and contract research organizations best-in-class site and enrolment solutions, with tiered offerings combining the expertise, as needed, of industry leaders PPD, Synexus, Acurian and Optimal Research.

We are currently looking to attract an Associate Manager, GL Accounting to join our global Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES) General Ledger Team. In this position you will be responsible for accounting activities for Poland and will be supervising accounting for other CEE countries.

Key roles and responsibilities of the Associate Manager, GL Accounting are: Coordination and review of full general ledger accounting in line with accounting standards and statutory requirements under Polish GAAP Preparation of annual financial statement and tax return according to the Polish accounting, tax and legal requirements; submission of financial statement and annual tax return to the authorities Liaising with external auditors during annual statutory audit ensuring timely and accurately responses to audit queries, Financial reporting and analysis for management purposes, Cash flow forecasting for Polish entity Preparation and submission of monthly VAT and CIT declarations, Maintaining of Fixed Assets register, calculation of depreciation, sale and disposal, preparation of relevant documents Coordinating bank payments, arranging bank guarantees and credit cards for employees, maintaining relationship with the bank Providing responses to authorities during tax audit and replying to ad hoc queries Liaising with tax advisors, coordinating the supply of information and responses to queries Supervising preparation of statistical reports, National Bank reports and other surveys Preparation of accounts in the account reconciliation tool Active participation in implementation of an accounting systems Cooperation with country Head of Finance and Finance Directors Managing the team of accountants for CEE region Advising the team in operational activities, supervising their complex assignments Supporting team members in their professional development in the organization Accelerated Enrolment Solutions (AES) is a business unit of PPD that offers both sponsors and contract research organizations best-in-class site and enrolment solutions, with tiered offerings combining the expertise, as needed, of industry leaders PPD, Synexus, Acurian and Optimal Research.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will require the following skills and experience:

First level university degree with a focus on business/economics, advanced degree in accounting or accounting certification (Polish Accounting Certificate, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) At least 5-6 years of accounting experience Previous people management and leadership experience will be considered an advantage Very good knowledge of accounting/financial principles Advanced business application skills in Microsoft Excel Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors Good business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments Excellent analytical and quantitative skills Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity Fluent Polish and good written and oral communication skills in English
