Forming part of the Contract Sales and Medical Solutions (CSMS) Global Business Unit (GBU) and reporting to the VP Offering Development, the Director of Patient Services will be responsible for working with other global teams and the Regional Business Units (RBUs) to facilitate the effective delivery of consistent, high quality & efficient nurse-led patient services within each market and across markets for multicounty deployments.  This will include working with Business Development colleagues and in-market delivery teams on the design of effective delivery models for multi-country or complex patient service solutions. The role also requires the post-holder to work closely with the GBU Compliance Team to ensure services in each market are meeting the necessary legal, regulatory, compliance and professional standards required by that market.  This role will also consult upon and practically support the expansion of IQVIA’s nurse deployment capabilities into new markets and regions, particularly in Asia Pacific and Middle East, and be responsible for the development and execution of above-country initiatives to develop IQVIA capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Nurse service deployment design for multicounty patient support and adherence programmes, collaborating closely with IQVIA Patient Insight, Programme Design and Behavioral experts as part of a multidisciplinary team implementing IQVIA’s patient programme design methodology, in addition to country-level nurse leaders
  • Provide expert counsel and practical support on optimal nurse operational, training and governance approaches to establish / grow these services in emerging markets
  • Lead above-country initiatives design to enhance efficiency, consistency and share best practice across nurse deployment programmes
  • Provide practical support to new markets in establishing patient services, including training in-country staff advising delivery teams and working with the GBU Compliance function to ensure safe, secure and efficient operations.
  • Support BD and solution design teams with expert input on effective delivery models, collation of key metrics, outcomes and case studies across regions and countries
  • Provide thought leadership on nurse-led services on behalf of CSMS and contribute to IQVIA wide initiatives on developing our activities with patients.
  • Participate in the exploration and expansion of adjacent services to nurse deployments e.g. pharmacy programming
  • Lead the assigned areas of strategy development and execution in collaboration with the business unit leaders and internal partners.
  • Lead and oversee the maintenance of sales materials for nurse deployment services including enhancements, support materials, portfolio review, metrics reporting and ongoing training.
  • Represent the assigned areas in the co-development / enhancement of integrated offerings and solutions, working with counterparts in relevant IQVIA business units. Participate in strategy development, build relationships with internal stakeholders, deliver in-depth presentations, lead strategic analysis and execute on actions.
  • Represent assigned areas in company-wide initiatives, presentations, new product/innovation committees and vendor/partnership activities.
  • Work with Communications lead to identify and address organizational, technical, partnership or capability barriers to delivery and realization of assigned areas
  • Work with other GBU functions to scope and execute partnerships which strengthen services
  • Provide expertise and support to new business proposals and/or existing projects.
  • Develop promotional tools to support business development activities and execute marketing campaigns for patient services.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Nursing or medical/clinical qualifications & background prefereable
  • 5-10 years experience in the delivery of BioPharma sponsored patient support services, including managerial and team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Bio-Pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects in a matrixed, multi-regional organization
  • Experience of working on global or multi-country projects would be an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • A concern for quality and maintaining high standards
  • Strategic business and healthcare industry awareness and the ability to translate emerging industry trends relevant to the organization
  • Ability to work creatively in a fast paced environment maintaining flexibility and changing priorities to meeting demanding timelines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to develop and articulate recommendations and solutions based on this analysis
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management and logistics skills
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
  • Languages in addition to English would be an advantage.

  • Post-holder will be required to undertake considerable international travel and to be able to spend periods of time in other countries as required by projects and agreed with line management
