We are looking to fill a Scientist 2 or 3 chemistry position working as a full-time employee of ExecuPharm / Parexel FSP on long-term assignment onsite at one of our clients in Rahway, NJ. Description

The Hazardous Reaction Laboratory Chemist performs heterogeneous and homogeneous hydrogenation gas reactions and similar important organic synthesis procedures and transformations.  This work is carried out in reaction vessels such as the Endeavor type screening equipment, EasyMAX Pressure Reaction Systems, and Parr high pressure autoclaves.

QualificationsScientist 2: BS in Chemistry or related scientific field with 1-2 years' experience in a regulated work environment; or MS with 0 years’ experienceScientist 3: BS in Chemistry or related scientific field with 3-5 years' experience in a regulated work environment, or MS with 1-2 years’ experience in a regulated work environment.

Required Skills and ExperiencePrior experience with conducting work in a safe laboratory environment, including compliance with safety requirements.Hand’s-on wet chemistry experienceDemonstrates excellent communication skills both as a team member and as a service provider with a broad range of customers.Demonstrate the ability to plan and execute to facilitate research process development.Demonstrate ability to effectively schedule and execute on daily and long-term experimental support as well as facility support to meet established timetables (Scientist 3)Acquire and summarize data pertinent to reaction documentation.Have the computer skills to use web-based submission tools, electronic laboratory notebooks, Microsoft SharePoint, OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills and ExperienceExcellent electro-mechanical skills for the design of new apparatus and maintenance of existing systems.Mettler Toledo iControl and related software toolsAnalytical tools such as LCMS/HPLC
