Job Description:

Customer Focused Leadership: Maintains close working relationships and provides professional advice and assistance to local customers.

Execution: Ensuring quality of purchasing process, pricing accuracy, purchase orders, payment terms and check requests. Verifying purchase requests accuracy, completion, and approvals. Ensuring products and services are obtained at a budgeted price. Develops, completes and as required, initiates and manages RFQ/ RFP/SOW process. Manages contract review process with LRM Team or others as required. Participate local and regional compliance audit activities as needed. Addressing inquiries and resolving transactional supplier issues. Assists with the set up, data input and maintenance of on-line catalogs and supplier database. Managing supplier qualification/RFx processes, assessing and validating the capabilities of potential vendors as appropriate.

Optimising Team Performance: Provides local and regional support when working with Procurement Associate, Senior Procurement Specialist or Category & Sourcing Manager. Assist, as required, in the development of contract strategy, sourcing strategy, quality management, supplier selection, resolving supplier performance related issues and improvement of procurement processes.

Stakeholder Management: Leverages procurement and other internal resources to meet customer requirements.

Delivering Process Efficiencies: Provide user support in relation to department responsibilities such as; Commodity research, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, contract administration, RFP, bid evaluation and internal resource coordination.

Supplier Management:

Supplier management responsibilities regularly and proactively reviews terms to ensure optimum benefits are secured and monitors supplier performance and adherence to contract terms.

Qualifications :

Skills: Sound knowledge of procurement principles, theories, concepts and processes. Ability to develop solutions to procurement problems and provide quality and/or creative solutions. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Oracle R12 PO/AP/iProcurement modules Microsoft office A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning Good negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional business teams. Able to meet goals and deadlines.

Knowledge and Experience: Experience working within a Procurement environment at a local/ regional or Global level Exposure to operations and/or life sciences is an advantage 1 - 3+ years of relevant business/management experience is desirable Oracle experience in a global environment is beneficial Prior project management experience is an advantage

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably business related or equivalent experience.
