Animal Care Technician II
We are seeking a Animal Care Technician 2 for our Insourcing Solutions site located in Baltimore Maryland.

In the Animal Caretaker role, you can do that by providing the highest-level quality assurance and control, in addition to coordinating preventative maintenance of equipment, as well as inspecting operation procedures to ensure the integrity of the research.

What you will do!
In the Animal Caretaker role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to perform daily animal health observations, as well as animal husbandry duties, to maintain quality and health of research animals. You will also need to maintain accurate records of things like animal breeding, as well as housing or support areas, and you may also be tasked with receiving, inspection, and housing of incoming animals. You may assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species, and you may become involved in the breeding and weaning procedures. Other duties may include monitoring personnel and equipment entry into various rooms, as well as operating required equipment and general housekeeping, when required.
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a HS diploma or GED equivalency required with 3 years laboratory animal species (specifically rodents and primates) with related technical experience required or a AS/BS science related degree with 6 months experience. Certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) level required. LAT within 1 year.
The pay rate is $16.25 USD an hour.
