The Launch Center of Excellence and the Thought Leader Center of Excellence work with Brand teams to prepare for product launch. Working across these teams will provide a variety of work that will be interesting and drive strong career learnings. In this role you will oversee subject matter experts who consult with clients and deliver integrated solutions.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee subject matter experts and the delivery of consulting projects of varying complexity to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Develop team cohesiveness among the subject matter experts
  • Manage and plan for delivery resources to the cadence of the business
  • Collaborate with the central delivery team, advanced analytics, and the various business units within Commercial Solutions
  • Identify new offerings and work on cross functional teams in the development of new integrated solutions to identifying new data sources and leading the evolution of platform-based analytics?
  • Provide input and help execute content development for publications
  • For complex client requests support solution development
  • Provide second level business development support

You will work in a team environment including Principals, delivery center resources, and advanced analytics.  You will lead a team of subject matter experts to ensure project resources, quality, and timelines.  Your project work will enable you to work with many different centers of excellence / Personas (Field force operations, Marketing, Managed Access, etc) while being exposed to cutting edge AI/ML algorithms.   

Responsibilities will require you to work with internal teams and clients to structure solutions and support business opportunities including Commercial Solutions GTM team, Medical Affairs, and CSMS sales teams.  You will support your delivery team on day-to-day activities, issue escalation and workflow triage.

This role has both strategic and tactical requirements allowing you to plan for the future success of the business while having a daily positive impact on our success.  The role will prepare you for multiple career paths as a CoE lead or business unit general manager.   

Job Requirements:

  • Proven leader who has experience managing a senior team
  • Owns Performance Review activities including goal development and cascade of corporate initiatives and assessments
  • Understands the principals of project management / delivery - Serves as solutions-based expert, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem-solving skills
  • Has experience working across business units to deliver integrated solutions
  • Assist in pre-sales activities
  • Has good understanding of clinical terms and disease areas
  • Understands IQVIA data assets, desk and primary research
  • Has a basic understanding of the different workstreams to help prepare a brand for commercialization
  • Understands the concept of network science
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with strong multitasking skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills
  • Innovative thinking to conceptualize, design and develop future products and offerings

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining IQVIA Consulting Services as a Senior Principal should have:

  • A strong academic track record including minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant graduate degree preferred (further personal/industry qualifications are valued but are not essential)
  • At least 12 years professional experience in consulting, pharmaceutical and healthcare industry with evidence of career progression
  • Demonstrates excellent project management skills and client influencing and relationship building skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and the Commercial Solutions core offerings with a strong focus on patient level data.
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals and is effective working in a matrix environment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area. 
  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. 
  • Possesses the necessary subject matter expertise and project management skills to effectively manage projects across more than one practice area.
