Submission for the position: Associate Director Operations Medical Information - (Job Number: 175086)The Associate Director, Operations is responsible for the day to day operations of one or more projects and provides direction, mentoring, and support to Operations Supervisors and other members of their project teams.The Associate Director is ultimately responsible for ensuring that services are provided in accordance with client and PPD Medical Communications' policies and procedures and contractual agreements. The Associate Director is Medical Communications' primary liaison with the client and is responsible for ensuring project report summaries, budget, audit results, staffing decisions, and other critical issues are managed appropriately. Bachelors degree in a health related field5 years experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry including; project management, budgetary management and 1 year of supervisory experience Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skillsGood leadership skillsExcellent judgment/decision making skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to analyze data and make appropriate decisionsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to motivate Supervisors/Consultants to define and reach team objectivesAbility to make difficult decisions under pressure and sometimes without all the information desiredBasic computer skills ( Excel, Microsoft Word )Ability to teach/mentor team membersAbility to coach Supervisors to reach performance objectives;Ability to recognize and take appropriate action when consultant/Supervisory performance is not acceptableHigh degree of flexibility, initiative; is a self-starter
