.Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for collaborating with the R&D function within PAREXEL Informatics Engineering,

including software and infrastructure design, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.

Key Accountabilities:

Accountability Supporting Activities

Animation development

Develops conceptual structures into design blueprints, typically using tools

such as interaction diagrams and wireframes, to create high-level structures

and runtime architectures for websites. Manages iterations of level design

and storytelling, documenting overall flow and architecture of a game or

similar system.

Business analysis

Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business

requirements and specify effective business processes, through

improvements in information systems, information management, practices,

procedures, and organisation change. Applies and monitors the use of

modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, giving special

consideration to business perspectives. Collaborates with stakeholders at

all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business

requirements specifications and feasibility studies. Prepares business

cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits

through development of new or changed processes, and associated

business risks.

Business process testing

Designs and manages tests of new/updated processes. Specifies test

environment for whole life-cycle testing (e.g. using model office concept).

Manages selection/creation of relevant scenarios for testing and ensures

that tests reflect realistic operational business conditions. Ensure tests and

results are documented, reported to stakeholders and are available for

specification of user instructions. Highlights issues and risks identified

during testing to business stakeholders. Provides specialist guidance and

advice to less experienced colleagues and users to ensure that test are

conducted in an appropriate manner.

User experience analysis

Analyses the implications of the context of use for system development.

Advises on tools and methods to be used and clarifies and communicates

the user experience, users' characteristics and tasks, and the technical,

organisational and physical environment in which products or systems will

operate. Advises on interpretation of the organisation’s branding for new

digital environments.

User experience design

Collaborates with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology

objectives, assess solution options and devise architectural solutions that

both achieve strategic business goals and meet operational requirements.

Creates design briefs for new web and digital projects or refreshes of

existing projects. Develops visual user experiences across digital assets,

working with project teams to present propositions and strategies. Rapidly

translates digital concepts into hi-fidelity visual outputs and interactive

prototypes. Captures multi-disciplinary requirements, and translates those

requirements into user experiences, prototypes and final assets.

User experience

evaluation

Plans and performs all types of evaluation, in order to check that

stakeholder and organisational requirements have been met, choosing

between formative and summative usability tests. Selects and administers

moderated or unmoderated usability tests. Tests developing systems to

ensure compatibility with user requirements, tasks and environment, as

defined in agreed specifications. Checks systems in use for changes in

organisational, user, other stakeholder, and usability needs and to ensure

that these needs continue to be met. Assesses the stability of requirements

against changes in context of use. Interprets and presents results of

evaluations to design team(s), prioritising usability issues.Qualifications

• Min 6 to 12 years of relevant experience.

• Analytical and creative designer, experienced in web and mobile, design graphic UI elements like wizards, navigation elements, data visualizations and widgets, familiarity with interaction design and information architecture, proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq).

• Experience in technical skills - HTML 5,

o Bootstrap 3 or 4

o Photoshop

• Experience in working with other User Experience disciplines (User Research, Visual Design).

Added Advantage Skills:

• Exposure to Cloud environment, preferably Azure

• Exposure to Clinical Research domain

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum process

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Math’s, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
