Data and Reporting Analyst 2

This position provides strategic and tactical support to the organization by analyzing, processing and interpreting client data in support of the sales and operations processes. Expertise and work efforts are focused on the analysis of the client’s business goals, objectives and needs and the general business environment. This person must possess the ability to perform data analysis with regard to client requests. Understanding the analysis requirements from internal or external customers and executing on those requirements is critical. Candidate must understand relational database management (RDBMS) as well as have the required experience with SQL and Excel. In addition, this individual would have the ability to function both independently and within a group. The ideal candidate will be very attentive to detail and perform with a high degree of accuracy. This position requires flexibility to handle a variety of tasks at one time and strong initiative.

Primary job responsibilities include:

• Create ad hoc and standard reports using various reporting tools for different functional areas of the company
• Assess reporting results through data investigation, analysis, and evaluation
• QA reports for not only coding errors and issues, but also make suggestions on data representation
• Strong Written and Communications Skills
• Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information
• Ability to determine the interrelationships between solutions and requirements
• Highly Organized, thereby efficiently handling multiple data jobs/sets
• Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure

Required Skills:

• Hands on experience with data and data queries, data processing/data transformations, data integration scenarios
• Experience with Pharma Sales and Marketing data and processes (Sales Targeting/Alignments/Deciling) is preferred
• 3+ years’ current & continuous experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years’ current & continuous experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Knowledge of statistical software a plus
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, vlookups)
• Shell scripting (on windows platform)
• Good communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
