Payroll Specialist - Workday Payroll Tester (6 Months contract)

Essential Function

Perform duties necessary for the accurate calculation of wages, maintenance of records and distribution of payroll reports. Performs payroll testing activities related to implementation of Workday for HCM, Time and Absence.

Key Accountabilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert and/or resource to others in the area of payroll processing.

• Reviews, analyzes, and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections.

• Researches and interprets a variety of complex technical requirements in response to Workday Testing.

• Analysis of payroll results and monthly payroll report processing both in live payrolls as well as results of Workday Testing

• Populate audit request for both internal and external audit requests.

• Analysis results for Time & Attendance and Absence testing payroll outputs.

• Process the input/output of payroll changes applying all applicable payroll practices in high volume environment.

• Maintain employee data in the database.

• Responsible for timely, accurate, complete payroll input.

• Liaison with our internal HR, and Finance departments.

• Responsible for compliance of payroll practices and policies.

• Participate in projects as assigned.QualificationsSkills

• Implementation and system testing (HCM, payroll, time and attendance, etc.)

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines

• Extensive knowledge of in-country payroll applications, Workday, and Oracle HCM, including experience with configuration and ad hoc reporting

• Deep knowledge of payroll and business fundamentals including multi-country level tax regulations, accounting principles, and Sarbanes Oxley

• Excellent writing and verbal skills.

• Exceptional organizational skills which include an ability to multitask and be process oriented.

• Advanced Excel knowledge including pivot tables and v-lookups, Access a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, working under minimal supervision, attentive to detail and customer service oriented.

Education

• Associate’s degree/bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (verbal and written), multi-language a plus

Minimum Work Experience

• Min. 3-5 years proven Payroll processing experience in a window and or web environment.
