The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the development of AI Labs’ software applications. In this role, they will write, test, and release front and back end code according to the product roadmap and release plans. They will work collaboratively with the Head of Machine Learning Product and software QA to set the overall goals and sprint plans.

Key Accountabilities:

Full Stack Software EngineeringCollaborate with other engineers to design, implement, and document new software engineering techniques and strategiesUnderstand customer, product and user requirements to develop, test, and ship software applications that meet their needsDevelop back-end / server-side software to serve application requests, query databases, and format and deliver dataDevelop front-end software and user experiences using the latest application programming frameworks, libraries and languagesArchitect and contribute code to software infrastructureBuild internal frameworks, libraries, and infrastructure to improve software architecture and to allow for rapid prototyping and new product deliveryCollaborate with data scientists, NLP engineers, clinical annotators, and product managers to build and maintain roadmap, and implement best practicesCreate and maintain application documentation to enable other engineers and data scientists to utilize the stackReview and improve the code of other engineers to enhance quality and securityWork with product management and quality assurance to test and validate completed features and bug fixes before deploying to the appropriate environmentsCreate unit tests, end to end tests, performance tests, and automated tests to ensure high code qualityProduct and Customer SatisfactionCollaborate with Product Management to define and implement features to satisfy customer and user requirementsPartner with other engineers to maintain quality work and anticipate problemsParticipate in sprint planning and check-in meetings to identify customer needs, potential roadblocks and solutions#ParexelAILabsQualificationsSkills:Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systemsPython, JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS Database technologies including ElasticSearch, Neo4j, and SQLExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsA flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detailWillingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.Knowledge and Experience: Experience with the following tools: JIRA, Confluence, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Github, Sumologic, AWS S3, AWS EC2, WhitesourceEducation:Educated to degree level in engineering or computer science or other relevant qualification/experience.Employment is contingent on disclosure of your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if relevant, proof of vaccination.EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.  Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected status, which in the US includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
