Payroll Tax Specialist

Key Accountabilities Acts as a subject matter expert and/or resource to others in the area of payroll tax. Reviews, analyzes and verifies tax reporting and documents for accuracy; makes necessary adjustments or corrections. Researches and interprets a variety of complex technical information in response to adhoc inquires. Analysis of payroll tax results and monthly/quarterly/annual payroll tax report processing and adhoc reporting as needed for applicable departments. Populate audit request for both internal and external audit requests. Process the input/output of payroll tax changes applying all applicable payroll practices in a multi-state high volume environment. Maintain employee data in the database. Responsible for timely, accurate, complete payroll input. Liaison with our internal HR, and Finance departments. Responsible for compliance of payroll tax practices and policies. Participate in projects as assigned. QualificationsAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines Extensive knowledge of ADP payroll applications and Oracle HCM, including experience with configuration and ad hoc reporting Deep knowledge of payroll and business fundamentals including federal and state tax regulations, accounting principles and Sarbanes Oxley Report writing skills utilizing ADP Reporting Excellent writing and verbal skills Exceptional organizational skills which include an ability to multitask and be process oriented Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge including pivot tables and v-lookups Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, working under minimal supervision, attentive to detail and customer service oriented Education Associates Degree in accounting/finance Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) plus, but not necessary

Language Skills Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written)

Minimum Work Experience Min. 3-5 years proven Payroll processing experience in a windows and/or web environment; preferably ADP software.
