Director, Strategic Feasibility

Parexel has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Strategic Feasibility to join our Global Strategic Feasibility team. Working in the “Pre-award” Feasibility space, this multifaceted homebased position does have oversite and responsibility for team members located in North America, but also has extensive client interaction as well as working across functional groups on new business pursuits. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Feasibility, the person selected for this role, can come from a variety of backgrounds within the industry; feasibility, study startup, patient recruitment or operational strategy, but they must have demonstrated leadership skills, be persuasive in client facing settings, enjoy innovating and bring creative ideas to the role.

Job Purpose:

The Director is responsible for leading, managing and supporting their regional Strategic Feasibility team and its allied processes to ensure it maximizes New Business Awards for Parexel and achieves agreed revenue through the implementation of industry-leading, customer-focused, data-driven clinical strategy.

The Director as an experienced leader is responsible for liaising with senior levels of management across the organization to continuously assess and improve process and deliverables. The Director will lead the regional team of feasibility experts to ensure globally consistent and effective communication of strategic recommendations to protect Parexel from undue financial and operational risk.

• Demonstrated strength in managing Managers and leading diverse teams

• Advanced ability to manage and motivate direct reports

• Expert ability to analyze metrics and information and ensure activities and strategies are data driven

• Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrable experience of stakeholder/relationship management with a client focused approach to work. Able to understand the business implications of decisions and their impact on the customer.

• Advanced ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

• Demonstrates flexibility in own working style and work preference when interacting with others

• Takes responsibility for decision making and gives others appropriate latitude to make decisions

• Ability to think and act innovatively and creatively with strong focus on execution

Knowledge and Experience:

• Significant work experience including management experience

• 10-15 years of life science/pharmaceutical work experience with 5+ years’ management including managing a decentralized team preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Education:

• Scientific degree, Registered Nursing degree or comparable life skill experience
