The Role:

As a Procurement Analyst, you will be responsible for facilitating the procurement of clinical services and alignment of those vendors’ processes with ICON processes.

The Procurement Analyst will liaise with vendors, ICON corporate services, project teams and functional area representatives, as required, to support ICON quality initiatives and other ICON or client deliverables.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with proposal, project teams, and functional representatives on vendor processes and capabilities critical to the project specific vendor start up strategy

  • Responsible for facilitating and managing the process for study specific vendor proposals, contracts and amendments, and purchase orders

  • Promoting consistent use of preferred vendors

  • Performing analysis of vendor experience and/or capabilities in support of new business opportunities and process improvement

  • Building vendor relationships and driving best practices

  • Collecting, collating and analysing vendor metrics for performance evaluations

  • Stakeholder training

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience collaborating with Vendors and an understanding of contract management

  • Experience working with internal stakeholder groups such as Legal, Finance, Procurement, Clinical, Proposals

  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to communicate at different levels and flex style accordingly

  • Ability or experience to work with Purchase order or Procurement systems

  • The ability to work effectively within a deadline driven environment with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

  • Read, write and speak English is a must
