Senior Contract Analyst

PURPOSE:

Develop and prepare contracts and budgets for assigned customers, to support the global sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with project teams to determine appropriate terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Act as Team Lead on assigned projects and manage the contract development process for large, complex contracts and provide support as required.
  • Act as primary customer interface on large, complex contracts, responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships.
  • Revise or develop the contracts and related budgets and scope of work. Ensure the scope of work is defined correctly and budgets reflect the scope. Ensure any changes are integrated into the main study contract efficiently and accurately.
  • Customize documents to accurately reflect services provided. Oversee finalization and distribution of documents.
  • Support with development and negotiation of MSA.
  • Develop in depth understanding of and be compliant to all processes and policies relating to the development of contracts.
  • Assist in the negotiation of legal contracting text using IQVIA Global Contracting Policy, templates fallbacks.
  • Create budget, scopes and contracts as required, review complex contracting situations and provide guidance and advice to team.
  • Provide advice, support and guidance to other Contract Analysts as needed
  • Mentor and train team members.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven team leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of CRO Industry.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Background in clinical research, clinical contracting and budgeting, finance, communications, or business very helpful.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret budgets.
  • Ability and confidence to work independently, make sound decisions, and escalate appropriately in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to balance strong attention to detail with overall business and deliverable objectives.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, senior level executives, and customers.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Business Management or related field and a minimum of 5 year's direct experience in Contracts, Finance, Proposals, industry specific operations experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.;.
