Director, Operational Effectiveness & Development

Effectively develop, manage and orchestrate the resourcing, budget, scope, timelines and performance for large and complex development programs for the Commercial Delivery Hub (CDH). This role will work closely with the IQVIA development, operations and product management teams, to understand and represent CDH users’ perspective and drive the projects in a way that is most beneficial for the business and CDH’s delivery and client support needs.
Position will be focused on driving the strategy, development requirements and implementation process for numerous development and operational effectiveness programs.
We’re looking for an energetic, outgoing and detail-oriented Program/Development Director with a passion for improving CDH users’ experience while maintaining project management processes and communication with cross functional teams.
Role & Responsibilities
Ensure development initiatives are aligned with overall CDH strategy ensuring alignment and incorporation with overall IQVIA strategy
Identify and establish transparent, successful collaboration with internal IQVIA stakeholders
Lead high level presentations to executive management
Accountable for successful delivery of development programs including meeting project timelines and within budgets
Build and oversee processes ensuring quality control throughout a project's lifecycle
Develop new CDH project and program management standards and procedures (if needed)
Coordinate new program kick-off schedule and handoff of production-ready programs to ongoing support programs
Evaluate CDH client deliverable needs and manage a comprehensive list of client requirements and project plans
Consult with internal CDH and other internal IQVIA teams on best practices for use and configuration of tools and solutions
Oversee the project work streams and managing conflicts across work streams
Lead and manage program status meetings and updates
Create and maintain project level documentation (project plans, Risk and Action logs, communication plan, QC plan, release plan, change management, etc.)
Collaborate with various Subject Matter Experts across IQIVA to understand the scenarios and assess impact on project
Proactively anticipate and solve project and program issues effectively
Oversee financial information for development work and the management of any outside vendors
Determine initiative scope, timelines, and feasibility
Develop risk management plan including coordination of issue escalation and resolution as well as contingency plans to mitigate risks across initiatives
Serve as knowledge and subject matter expert for service area and contact for senior and executive management regarding initiatives.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
7+ years of project management experience managing large scale development initiatives or related experience
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
Undergraduate degree or equivalent
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Project or SmartSheet, PowerPoint, Excel
Knowledge of IQVIA data assets is a plus
Familiarity with technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, MicroStrategy, Tableau. etc.
Good organization, presentation, and communication skills
