IQVIA is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to support all financial aspects of our Covid 19 Sampling Study Project. You will be a dedicated resource for this complex project ensuring financial and accounting operations are executed with speed and accuracy. The project works with multiple partners and several internal departments meaning there will be a high volume of varied and complex internal and external accounting procedures required. You will be an astute financial business advisor partnering with our Project Leadership team enabling robust forecasting and driving appropriate cost management initiatives for this fast growing project.

You will be required to:

  • Undertake financial analyses by using a variety of reporting tools to compare actual performance against latest estimates and budgets.  Provide management with information of trends and results to enable corrective action.  Perform financial analyses at a project level.
  • Collate, review and reconcile large quantities of supplier data to validate Supplier payments and support revenue recognition.
  • Work closely with non financial project leads and be able understand the operational breath of the project
  • Perform project life cycle analytics to improve the forecast accuracy on revenue and cost burns, throughout the different stages in the life of the project
  • Coordinate all responses from project managers on revenue and expenses, to explain the variances or changes outside the agreed tolerances. Follow up with the different stakeholders if the explanations provided need further elaboration
  • Partner with operational leaders on the preparation of forecasts and budgets, as well as risk mitigation actions such as implementation of cost management savings initiatives
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of operating leader requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these requirements. Provide analysis of key data and identify trends to support and advise leaders
  • Manage Project set-up in PeopleSoft Projects & Contracts Module. Includes posting journals/accruals to maintain an accurate project level P&L for monthly review, along with managing the billing and AR support on this specific account. Processing intercompany journals between different parts of the IQVIA business supporting the delivery of the project.
  • Assist in the development of the quarterly business unit operating review presentation for the company’s Sr. leadership with a specific focus on this significant project
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role

As a Finance Manager at IQVIA you need to be/have:

  • At least 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA
  • Fantastic Excel skills (significant volume of work will be Excel based)
  • People Soft/Oracle experience desirable not essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and confidently
  • Strong Communication skills 
  • Flexible, professional approach  
  • Eligibility to work full time in the UK
