We are looking for a Senior Analyst/Method Developer to develop and validate robust analytical methods and to undertake analysis of routine samples, document the procedures and maintain equipment and environment in accordance with GLP for Physical Chemical and Analytical studies at our site at Shardlow, Derbyshire.

 

As a Senior Study Analyst and Method Developer at Covance your main responsibilities will be: Coordinate all aspects of method development and validation to support routine analysis Analyse samples and process data for assigned studies Interpret data to ensure acceptance criteria are achieved and the reanalysis of anomalous results are managed appropriately Produce data summaries Report developmental and validation findings to internal and external customers Troubleshoot and maintain a variety of analytical instrumentation. Proactively identify and perform QC checking of data and reports to meet departmental needs Maintain working knowledge of all departmental analytical techniques and instrumentation Approve formal analytical methods, where appropriate Assist in the preparation of study plans, analytical phase plans and draft reports Act as Responsible Analyst communicating with collaborating departments to ensure timely delivery of analytical phases Work with Study Director/Principal Investigator to communicate with customers and be involved in client meetings Train and supervise staff

 Education/Qualifications:Scientific Degree ideally Chemistry Experience:At least 5 years’ experience in relevant scientific analysis and method development Proven expertise with HPLC and GC including MS techniques and able to trouble shoot Significant experience of working in a CRO or similar fast-paced environment Experience working to GLP or similar regulated environment Experience of maintenance and trouble shooting for a variety of analytical instrumentation such as GC, HPLC, MS and ICP-MS Experience with computerised system compliance and validation activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style to the situation  Has the ability to provide feedback at all levels, build relationships and work to successfully improve quality standards Work collaboratively within the team and across the wider Company Motivates the team to deliver exceptional customer service
