PPD has an exciting opportunity for a Cognos Developer to join our team of professionals. PPD works in collaboration with this pharmaceutical partner; you will be dedicated to the client projects, processes, working within their teams and systems on behalf of PPD.

Key responsibilities:

Proactively collaborates with initiative leads and senior management to prepare, organize, coordinate, document and/or provide the development and delivery of department products and services to a globally dispersed, cross-functional audience in support of business outcomes and industry compliance requirements.

• Support PV need for analytics, line listings, summary tabulations, visualizations, and dashboards using:

o Cognos data model, using both business view and database view.

o SQL based reports using Argus insight and transactional database.

• Contribute to the full life cycle of safety data analytics activities, including data query, report authoring, and report publishing.

• Proven experience developing and delivering Cognos reports using Report Studio, Event Studio, schedules, and bursting feature. Provide examples.

• Checking Datamart for failed reports and creating amending report schedules, as appropriate.

• Develop Cognos reports for periodic and supporting listing/tabulation, e.g. PSUR/PBRER, DSUR, SLL/BLL, and country specific listings and tabulations.

• Experience writing Oracle SQL in Cognos reports or ad hoc queries.
